59 Trips Around the Sun

Today, I feel immense gratitude for all that this one wild life has allowed me to experience in my 59 years.

...Creative Soul, Wife, Mama, daughter, sister, friend and everything in between...

Layered in stories of joy, love, courage, strength and gratitude, sprinkled with the hard, the unknown and the challenges that break us only to see us rise even stronger than before.

There is a wisdom that circles within me these days whispering for more experiences over things, more creative time, more play time, more self-care, more joy, more peace, more connection, more community, a slowing down, a letting go, a celebration of not just the big moments but the small ones as well.

As I enter my 59^th year, I give myself the gift of grace, self-love, forgiveness where needed, and permission to be unapologetically true to myself. To never lose sight of the fact that empathy and kindness are a choice, and my art is a gift.

I am writing this birthday note from my favourite desert hiking spot, surrounded by red rock energy and sunshine. There is a healing peace here that settles deep into the soul—the same vital spark I feel within this creative life I’ve cultivated. I recognize that nothing is guaranteed for my upcoming journey around the sun, but I am confident in my decision to navigate this world with love, kindness, and courage, and I will continue to spread joy into the world through my art.

This is 59, and I am so grateful for this one wild life I get to call mine.
